D.O. Ribeira Sacra

The Ribeira Sacra, one of the most spectacular wine regions of Spain, is situated on the banks of the Miño and Sil rivers within Galicia, between the provinces of Lugo and Ourense.

The grapes grow in small strips of land placed on the steep slopes of the Sil and Miño rivers. The vines were planted here centuries ago by the monks of the monasteries built in the Middle Ages, between the eighth and twelfth centuries, hence the name of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
